Non-fatal shootings, one on Thanksgiving, don't appear to be related, police say

The Woodburn Police Department is seeking the public's help in locating two suspects in two separate and seemingly unrelated shootings at Hayesville Apartments in Woodburn.

COURTESY PHOTO: WPD - Norberto MartinezThe first shooting, which happened around 7 a.m. shooting Nov. 12 in the 1300 block of West Hayes Street, sent a 19-year-old to the hospital with non-life threatening gunshot injuries.

Woodburn detectives have named Norberto Josue Martinez, 24, as a suspect. Martinez is 5-foot-10, weighs roughly 210 pounds and has brown eyes and short black hair.

This time the gunshot victim was a 35-year-old female whose injuries were not life-threatening. Investigators report that some of the victim's belongings were stolen during this incident.

Detectives have identified Rodolfo Silva-Cortez Jr., 27, as a suspect in the Nov. 22 shooting. He is 5-foot-9, about 170 pounds and has brown eyes and black hair.

Woodburn PD stated in a press release that there is no information indicating that the shootings were related.
