Woodburn City Hall to move at end of December
City Hall will soon be getting some repairs. While Woodburn City Hall undergoes substantial repairs, existing City Hall departments will be temporarily relocated to 970 N. Cascade Drive starting Dec. 31.
City Hall will close Dec. 24 and when it reopens Dec. 31, it will be at the Cascade Drive location.
Mail (and electronic bank payments) should continue to be sent to 270 Montgomery St.
All existing services will be available at the temporary location, including utility services (bill payments, notices, hook-ups), municipal court, building permits, business registrations and filings, Recreation and Parks registration and city administration (mayor, city administrator, city recorder).
City Council, Planning Commission and Urban Renewal Agency meetings will be held at the Woodburn Police Department's Community Room at regularly scheduled dates/ times. City departments not located in City Hall will remain in their existing locations.
Repairs, which will likely take six months, include: replacing the HVAC system and central roofing; making ADA, security and seismic improvements; updating council chambers; re-configuring spaces to provide more employee work areas and to provide more efficient customer service in the Finance and Community Development departments.
