One of two Hayes Street shooting suspects arrested in Medford
A man suspected of shooting and injuring a 19-year-old in Woodburn on Nov. 12 has been arrested in Medford.
On Nov. 27, the day after Woodburn Police Department sent out a press release seeking information regarding two suspects in two seemingly unrelated shooting incidents on Hayes Street in Woodburn, Norberto Josue Martinez, 24, was located and arrested by the Medford Police Department.
Around 7 a.m. Nov. 12 in the 1300 block of West Hayes Street, Martinez is suspected of shooting a 19-year-old, who went to the hospital with non-life threatening injuries.

At 4:52 p.m. Nov. 22, Thanksgiving Day, in what police say is an unrelated incident, even though it occurred in the same apartment complex in the 1300 block of Hayes Street, a 35-year-old woman was shot and sent to the hospital with non-life threatening injuries. Investigators report that some of the victim's belongings were stolen during this incident.
Detectives have identified Rodolfo Silva-Cortez Jr., 27, as a suspect in the Nov. 22 shooting. He is 5-foot-9, about 170 pounds and has brown eyes and black hair.

Woodburn PD stated in a press release that there is no information indicating that the shootings were related.
