Rep. Bill Post will host the meeting that will also be attended by ODOT, county and city officials

A town hall meeting regarding traffic safety is scheduled for 6 p.m. Tuesday, Dec. 4, in St. Paul.

The meeting will be held at the St. Paul Community Hall, 20239 Main St. S.E. and is set to last one hour.

Rep. Bill Post (House District 25) will host the meeting, which will be a town hall giving citizens the opportunity to share concerns and ideas for traffic safety in northern Marion County.

Representatives from the Oregon Department of Transportation, Marion County and the city will be in attendance to provide an update of their work and to listen.

The meeting falls on the same day as a four-vehicle fatal crash on McKay Road near French Prairie Road.

Last year, safety meetings were held in and around St. Paul and were widely attended, discussing police and traffic concerns. Some changes have occurred in the past year, including improvements to Butteville and Ehlen roads intersection, but vehicle crashes continue, like one involving a school bus in October.
