Woodburn chiropractor receives statewide award
Dr. Daniel Miller of Woodburn recently received the highest honor of the year from the Oregon Chiropractic Association during its annual convention in Portland.
Miller was named 2018 Chiropractor of the Year, an award voted on by peers within the chiropractic profession and members of the association.
Miller received this award due to his dedicated work for his patients in the office, and for his service to the profession outside the office. Miller joined Northwood Health Center in 1994 after graduating from Western State Chiropractic College and will celebrate 25 years at the Woodburn-based business in October.
Miller was a founding board member of the Oregon Chiropractic Association in 2008 and has been its journal editor for over a decade. He sits on the Oregon State Advisory Committee for Workers' Compensation addressing the rights of injured workers and access to care. He has been on the OCA's Legislative Committee helping his profession gain parity within the health care field.
Miller recently was a part of the Oregon Board of Chiropractic Examiner's Guideline Committee helping to update treatment parameters within the profession, and as a result authored a document on the subject of whiplash that has been adopted by the OCA to help all parties understand the complexities involved in managing motor vehicle collision injuries.
This is the second time in his career that Miller has been named Chiropractor of the Year, having previously been given the award in 2004.
