Woodburn open house eyes transportation
City of Woodburn is holding its second open house showcasing updates to the city's Transportation System Plan.
The open house will be from 5:30 to 7 p.m. Monday, March 4, at the Woodburn Public Library, 280 Garfield St.
The Transportation System Plan determines transportation projects, policies and programs to meet current and future needs. The existing Transportation System Plan was adopted in 2005. Updating it will help capture changing transportation needs and adapt it to the city's growth.
Woodburn has been evaluating transportation conditions and assessing needs. The open house gives residents a chance to see an overview of that project and to give feedback. The project considers all modes of travel, including walking, rolling, biking, driving, and transit.
City officials encourage residents to stop into the open house and share thoughts, ideas and priorities about Woodburn's transportation. Staff will be there to answer questions and take feedback. Spanish-speaking interpreters will be available.
The city is also providing information and taking feedback online from March 4-17 at www.WoodburnTSP.org .
