Hubbard council seeks new member
The Hubbard City Council is seeking prospective applicants to fill a vacant position following the resignation of former Councilor Barbara Ruiz.
Ruiz informed the council of her resignation in a letter on April 2, citing personal reasons.
Ruiz was elected in the November 2016 general election, winning the second of two open seats on the council by receiving 361 votes, 21 more than first runner-up Dan Estes.
The term runs through December 2020. Those interested in applying for the position can download an application from the city's website at cityofhubbard.org, or pick up an application at Hubbard City Hall.
Applications are due May 2, and the City Council will seek an appointment at the May 14 meeting.
