Car crashes into Hubbard Market
Hubbard Police teamed with Canby Police to pursue and arrest a man following an early morning crash into the Hubbard Market.
Hubbard Police Chief Dave Rash said the crash occurred at around 3:39 a.m. when a Chevrolet Silverado plowed into the market's glass doors, then left the scene. A witness pursued it up Highway 99E northbound where the Canby Police stopped it and arrested the driver, Alan Munro of Keizer.
Further investigation led Hubbard Police to believe that Munro had stolen the vehicle in Salem, intentionally crashed it into the store and into another local business.
"I'm glad he didn't hurt anyone, including himself," said Rash, who was called to the scene at Hubbard Market.
Munro was lodged at the Marion County Jail for unauthorized use of a vehicle, criminal mischief, and failure to perform the duties of a driver.
