Hubbard event planners are looking for volunteers and sponsors for next year's festival

PMG PHOTO: JUSTIN MUCH - The 44th annual Hubbard Hop Festival took place on Saturday, July 20Mike Peterson earned the title of 2019 Horseshoe Champion at the 2019 Hubbard Hop Festival.

The Hop Festival Board of Directors announced the winners of the July 20 event last week. Peterson was followed by second-place Terry Cuff, while Brian Raymond finished third.

The board also announced the event's raffle winners: Garden Elvis Presly Gnome, Triplett Wellness; Rock & Roll Guitar Painting, Peggy Webber; Gift Baskets, Bob Peirsands, Bethany Zito, Herba Buena; $20 White Rabbit Gift Certificate, Bethany Zito; Filberts Gift Certificate, Colton H; $150 Ludicrous Gift Certificate , Herba Buena; $50 Ludicrous Gift Certificate , Gil Euiz, Doug Dailey; American Graffiti, Anthony Gray; Paddle Board, Paul Betterton; $25 Garden World Gift Certificate, Nuck Fuge; Corn Hole Set, Bethany Bilyeu; $20 Garden World Gift Certificate , Jason Ouglla; Nail Basket, Ford; Republic Service Gift Card $600, Tonya Mathias; 2 Portland Timbers Game Tickets, Sara H; Chainsaw, Julie Long.

This year's Hop Festival was the 44th annual, occuring on the third Saturday every July, though the event had a hiatus in 2016.
