Woodburn Area Chamber of Commerce is seeking nominations for the annual Distinguished Service Alma Awards

Woodburn Area Chamber of Commerce announced that the banquet for the 2020 Distinguished Service Alma Awards will take place March 13 at the Metropolis Event Center.

With the announcement, the chamber said it will be seeking nominations for the awards through 3 p.m. Friday, Feb. 7, at the chamber office. The awards are for Senior First Citizen (age 50 and older); Junior First Citizen (under 50); Outstanding Educator (teachers, administrators or support staff); Outstanding Youth (college or high school).

The Chamber Awards Selection Committee will considering the following criteria as they review nominations:

Contributed outstanding volunteer community service; participated in more than one major community project or committee; donated time outside of work; provided recognized leadership in community affairs.
