Pack leaders said that 15 racers competed in the event and kept an enthusiastic attendance of family and friends entertained throughout.

Kiwanis Scout liaison James Audritsh said collaborative support from the Woodburn Kiwanis Club, Woodburn Fire District, Aurora Fire District and Hallmark Properties paved way for the event, which saw all racers in the mix make no less than four runs down the strip. Racers comprised of boys and girls.

"This was a great opportunity for both groups to come together and have a great time," Audritsh said. "The boys were not out done by any means by the girls that have their own (scout) den in the pack. We are very honored to sponsor the Scouts and show our support for these young men and women.

"Scouting can play a vital role in the lives of young men and women," he added.
