Oregon: Four new COVID-19 deaths, 65 more people test positive
State officials reported four new deaths due to COVID-19 on Wednesday, bringing the known deaths in Oregon attributed to the disease to 144.
Meanwhile, 65 more people were confirmed to have the coronavirus, bringing the number of people who've tested positive to 3,701.
In addition, 10 new people are presumed to have the virus due to symptoms and past contact with a confirmed case, bringing the number of presumed cases to 100 people.
In all, test results have been reported for 102,049 people, according to the state. The rate of positive tests in Oregon is about 3.6%.
Among states, that rate stands as one of the better ones in the country, reflecting that Oregon so far has avoided the worst-case scenarios suffered by some east coast states.
Of the 65 new positive tests, three were people 9 years old or younger. Other age groups for the new confirmed cases were 10 to 19 (5 cases), 20 to 29 (17), 30 to 39 (13), 40 to 49 (19), 50 to 59 (13), 60 to 69 (6), and 70 to 79 (9).
