Woodburn middle school track coach arrested for sexual relationship with a minor
A track and field coach at French Prairie Middle School was arrested on charges of having a sexual relationship with a 16-year old.
Jubentino Guzman, 26, of Salem was arrested Tuesday, June 23, after Woodburn police received information about a sexually explicit video circulating social media showing Guzman with the victim.
According to a police report, Guzman admitted the relationship had been going on for several months and that the victim was a former student at the middle school when Guzman was employed there from 2013 through 2020.
Guzman was charged with third degree sex abuse, first degree encouraging child sexual abuse, possession of child pornography and official misconduct. He is currently booked into Marion County jail.
Guzman is the second coach in the Woodburn School District in the past year to be charged with having a sexual relationship with a minor. Former Woodburn High School varsity football coach Nick Federico was arrested in October after video circulated on Snapchat allegedly showing Federico engaging in an intimate act with an underage victim.
The case with Guzman is an on-going investigation. Anyone with information about the case is asked to contact detective Linda Hedricks of the Woodburn police department at 503-982-2345.
