Volunteer Day at Jan Lafollette Park
Jan Lafollette Park in Hubbard is getting a fall makeover, and volunteers are needed to help with the cleanup process.
Organizers are planning on cutting back blackberry bushes and constructing a pair of concrete pads for the disc golf course at the Hubbard Park on Saturday, Oct. 3, from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.
This is the second weekend cleanup at the site. Volunteers are asked to bring shovels, work gloves, a wheelbarrow and any other tools that would be useful for cleaning out blackberries.There will be a raffle for a $25 gift card to Big 5 for those who participate.Jan Lafollette Memorial Nature Park is located at the west end of Baines Boulevard.
