Suspect followed two girls under the age of 12 from Sunrise Market and grabbed one of them before fleeing

He was wearing a blue Nike shirt and jeans and has medium-length, wavy hair.Woodburn police are seeking public assistance in identifying a suspect in an attempted kidnapping that took place near Sunrise Market on North Settlemier Avenue on the evening of Sept. 30.

According to a news release from the Woodburn police, an adult male between the age of 18 and 25 followed two girls under the age of 12 who were walking home from the Sunrise Market at approximately 7:30 p.m.

The suspect grabbed one of the girls and attempted to kidnap her. She resisted, began screaming for help and was able to break free. A passerby stopped to help the girls as the suspect fled the scene. The passerby took the girls home and the police were called.

The suspect was wearing a blue Nike shirt and jeans. He had dark, medium-length, wavy hair with a mustache or possibly a beard.
