Suspect had eluded authorities for nearly six months in connection with July stabbing

A suspect in a July stabbing in Woodburn was arrested Friday and charged with attempted murder.

COURTESY PHOTO: WOODBURN POLICE - Aldo Vasquez LozanoAldo Vasquez Lozano, 21, was charged in connection to a July 28 incident in which a male Woodburn resident was stabbed several times with a knife. Police have been trying to locate Lozano since then before apprehending him around 5 p.m. Friday.

Lozano was taken into custody by the Marion County SWAT team without incident and booked into the Marion County Jail on several charges in addition to the attempted murder charge.

Woodburn police received assistance from U.S. Marshals in locating Lozano. An additional suspect was taken into custody but is not being charged at this time.

Woodburn police are seeking additional information about Lozano and are asked to call Detective Matt Stearns at 503-982-2345.
