Woodburn reports sewage overflow
The city of Woodburn issued an advisory for residents following a weather-related sewage overflow Wednesday, Jan. 13.
City officials said there was 20,000-gallon sanitary sewer overflow (SSO) from the city's Mill Creek Pump Station. The overflow into Mill Creek was due to a storm-related power outage and electrical equipment failure at the pump station.
The overflow erupted at about 7 a.m. Wednesday and lasted for about 45 minutes.
The public should not come into contact with the creek water for the next 24 hours.
