Two-vehicle collision Sunday evening on Highway 99E near mile post 39 leaves motorcycle operator with fatal injuries

A Woodburn man died following a two-vehicle collision Sunday night on Highway 99E.

According to a preliminary investigation, Jeffrey Garza, 40, of Woodburn was travelling north on Highway 99E on a Suzuki motorcycle when he collided with a Ford Focus operated by Maria Egoroff, 71, of Salem.

Egoroff was travelling south and attempting to turn left into a private driveway when her vehicle was struck by Garza near milepost 39.

Garza sustained fatal injuries and was pronounced deceased at the scene. Egoroff's condition was unreported as of Monday morning.

Oregon State Police, Woodburn Fire Department, Woodburn Ambulance and the Oregon Department of Transportation assisted.
