Police seek Woodburn robber
The Woodburn Police Department is seeking information about a suspected armed robber who reportedly threatened the driver of a vehicle with a gun Saturday, April 17.
Police responded to a call around 1:30 p.m. reporting an armed robbery in south Woodburn near Tulip Avenue and Foxglove Street, a development located between Boones Ferry Road and Highway 99E.
According to the report, the victim had agreed to give the suspect a ride but subsequently asked his passenger to get out of the vehicle multiple times. The suspect refused to depart from the car and told the victim he had a gun. The victim saw residents outside near Tulip Avenue and Foxglove Street where he was able to call for help, and police were summoned.
At that point the suspect fled on foot after stealing multiple personal items from the victim and threatening him with a gun.
The suspect is described as a heavy-set Hispanic male, between 5-foot-8 and 5-10 and about 30 years old, wearing a blue T-shirt, khaki pants and white tennis shoes. Multiple officers checked the area and were unable to locate the suspect.
WPD is seeking help in identifying the suspect, who should be considered armed. He is wanted in connection to robbery, kidnapping, coercion and menacing. Anyone with information on the suspect is asked to contact the WPD at 503-982-2345.
