School board will select up to 18 staff and non-staff to assist in screening and interview process by June 22

Woodburn School District Board votes to terminate superintendentThe Woodburn School District Board of Directors is asking for assistance in selecting the district's next interim superintendent. The board will be selecting up to 18 staff and non-staff to to be a part of a committee that assists in the application screening and interview process.

Committee members must be available to attend meetings on July 6 from noon to 2 p.m. for training, July 12 from 5:45 to 8:45 p.m. to review and discuss applicants, and July 20-23 to conduct interviews.

Applications are available at and must be submitted before 5 p.m. on June 18. Committee Members will be selected at the June 22 school board meeting.

Woodburn School District's current acting superintendent is longtime staff member and administrator Juan Larios, who was appointed to the position following the suspension and eventual termination of former Superintendent Oscar Moreno Gilson.
