CCC Brooks open house slated
Chemeketa Community College Brooks Regional Training Center will host its third annual Emergency Services Programs Open House in Building 2, 10. a.m. to 12 p.m. Friday, Oct. 29, a 4910 Brooklake Road NE, Brooks.
Chemeketa Brooks offers hands-on training and high-quality education to students and professionals who are interested in a job in today's rapidly growing emergency services field. These programs include Chemeketa's fire protection technology, EMT/paramedic, criminal justice, law enforcement, corrections, and diesel technology programs.
High school students and parents are encouraged to attend the open house. Light refreshments will be served and there is space for school bus parking at the back of the training center. Attendees can meet Chemeketa Emergency Services instructors and ask questions about the programs.
"We want high school students and others to explore what career opportunities are possible after completing training at the Chemeketa Brooks Regional Training Center," said Sherrie Magarrell, an instructor of emergency services and diesel technology at Chemeketa. "Get excited about careers you can acquire with our programs. We prepare students to help people in a fulfilling career."
