Woodburn youth is charged with disorderly conduct after police discover the source of the threat.

On the evening of Wednesday, Dec. 15, Woodburn Police were alerted by multiple members of the community to an alleged bomb threat, posted on social media, targeting Woodburn High School.

Police immediately responded and, through their investigation, detectives were able to identify and contact the source of the threat — a WHS student. After interviewing the subject, it was determined the threats were only a hoax. The youth will be charged with first-degree disorderly conduct.

Woodburn Police expressed gratitude to the public for its immediate action and notification of the potential threat.

"Being alert and reporting suspicious activity to local law enforcement can help protect their families, neighbors and community," WPD spokesman Tommy Moore said.
