Thanks to those who helped recognize veterans
It's no wonder that from Monday-Saturday, the week before Memorial Day, innumerable flowers, vegetables and other ornamental garden gadgets were being sought by shoppers at Woodburn's Bi-Mart. Even so, as those gardeners exited the store, they were also offered a red, paper poppy by Vie Anderson and her distribution committee from Aurora Unit #110, American Legion Auxiliary.
Many thanks to the district and store managers for this civic and patriotic focus, commemorating the heroism of U.S. American Veterans as well as those who gave their lives for our freedom. Thank you to customers/shoppers and poppy wearers who contribute to this cause which energizes Aurora Auxiliary's programs for Veterans.
