Letters to the Editor
Woodburn Senior Center remains alive and well. We always have the coffee pot on and something sweet to tickle the taste buds. Come join us for cards, bingo, lunch at noon every Wednesday, exercises and more. We are open three days a week from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. in the United Methodist Church building on Cascade Drive.
Our third anniversary is coming up on Oct. 1, and we are planning something special to celebrate. Come meet your neighbors from around the area. We look forward to meeting everyone. The Senior Center appreciates the space that is provided for us by the church. They have been great partners. We also enjoy the donations of food by our three retirement centers, Emerald Gardens, Cascade Park and Country Meadows Village. Their gourmet cooks surprise us with their special dishes on Wednesdays along with other donated food by our members. Drop by and pick up a monthly schedule. And make the senior center one of your weekly stops. Dues are still $15 for the year and one can begin signing up for 2020.
