Mt. Angel's blooming volunteers earn praise
The Mt. Angel Chamber of Commerce extends a big "Thank You" to everyone who showed up bright and early, at 7 a.m., on Sunday, to take down flower baskets.
A special salute goes to Jeff Ruef who provided his bucket forklift at the last moment. We are grateful to DirectLink who took down the last two baskets high up on the telephone poles at GEM Equipment.
Thank you to JFK students Alex Wayment, Kylli Cantu, Melanie Lopez, Elise Suing, Mackenzie Guel, Elsa Kauffman and their advisor Kevin Arndt. Other volunteers were: Keith Cobb, Joe and Wendy Borschowa, Travis and Tiffany Cooksey, Jim Kosel, Kari Shanigan, Ted Stoops, Jeff Ruef, Nick Wavra, Susan Gallagher, and Mary Kohler.
The Chamber could not provide these beautiful baskets without the devoted attention of Fessler Nursery and Silver Angel Plant Care. We appreciate all those who help pay for the baskets, including donors who sponsor the baskets and all the people who contribute towards our fundraisers during the year.
If you would like to adopt a basket next year, checks can be made payable to Mt. Angel Chamber of Commerce, P.O. Box 221, Mt. Angel, 97362.
