Reader angry some oppose free meals at schools
In reference to the letter concerning feeding children ...
Free meals at school! The letter's author cannot conceive how anyone could suggest feeding school children without prior determination as to how many parents each child has and if no parents, did they not have an uncle or aunt?
Furthermore, that letter writer was confounded that the children did not have to apply to receive free meals, nor have to prove eligibility.
And then there were the orphans, feed them only after they sought food from extended family, churches, civic groups and communities.
I wonder how free meals could elicit such anger? What a cold-hearted rant. Jesus is weeping.
