Independent readers weigh in on the Woodburn mayoral race between Eric Morris and Eric Swenson

Morris has long history of commitment to Woodburn

I am writing to give my strong support and endorsement of Eric Morris for Mayor.

Eric has a proven commitment to our community with 11 years of service for the city Council, six years for the Woodburn School Board where he was Chairman for two years, one year for the Recreation & Parks Board.

Eric is deliberate and practical in his approach to issues before the Council. He has shown himself to be thorough in his counsel duties and careful to consider long-term impacts of his decisions.

Eric Morris is a leader with experience and integrity. Please vote Eric Morris for mayor.

Sharon Corning,

Former Woodburn mayor endorses Eric Swenson

To Woodburn voters: Please join me and vote to re-elect Mayor Eric Swenson. I wasn't happy for the Motel 8 to become an isolation place, but now I realize it was a good move to keep people off the streets in isolation, so they won't contaminate more people. I also would not support anyone (councilor) Rob Carney was for. He is the councilor who called me a racist when I went to the City Council to get smoking banned in our public parks to prtoect the children who go to the parks. When I told my Black and Hispanic friends, they said, he does not know you.

Nancy A. Kirksey

Former mayor, Woodburn
