Letters to the Editor
To the Editor:
In answer to Cheryl Cannon's letter in the Nov. 11 issue of the newspaper:
My letter on Oct. 29 was in answer to a Pamplin Media Group editorial on Sept. 23, and if Cheryl Cannon had read that editorial, my letter would have made sense.
Who started filling the air with misinformation and out-and-out lies in 2016 and continues to do it to this day?
Who is demanding that everybody wear a mask, and what is the real reason for the demand? Not a convenient excuse thrown out when the press gets too persistent?
Who is forcing the businesses, churches, social and political groups to close unless the groups agree with the powers that be and the businesses grease the right palms?
Who has been and is continuing to allow rioters to loot and burn down stores and public buildings in our major local cities?
The Republican senators in the last session of the Oregon Legislature did not walk out of the session until after it became perfectly clear to all mutual observers that the bullies that were running the Democrat caucuses were only interested in enriching their political friends in the Multnomah Democrat political machine, demonstrating their political power, and that everyone else can go to Hell. The Democrat leaders thought that no one else had the cajonies and the law to stop them. Things are much the same in the congress in Washington D.C., only worse.
It appears to me that we are in for two long, contentious, expensive, and unproductive sessions of the Oregon Legislature unless the press and the nice people quit covering up the foul ups of the leadership of the Democrat party in the Legislature of Oregon.
