Bright, seedy blooms reaching to the neighbor's deck inspires reader's ponderance

Dear Editor,

Do you have a 14-foot tall, 12-foot tall sunflower?

I do: it is just outside my door. So, you are wondering, "so what?"

The tallest one reaches to the apartment deck of the apartment above me. It's awesome!

I didn't know that planting these seeds would make me ponder about my life and the blessings and some heartbreaks.

But as I watched the sunflowers evolve, they gave me such joy. The world has been downright tough on us all this past year. So, please make someone smile, be kind and watch them bloom. Be a sunflower.

Pat Petersen

P.S. My sunflowers have to come down, so know any good loggers?

P.S.S. The birds love the seeds.
