The sixth annual Llama Luau at Silver Creek Senior Living Community proved to be a hit in Woodburn on Friday, July 16.
The community brought in a pair of therapeutic pack animals from the Mtn. Peaks Therapy Llamas and Alpacas, a group that serves the Portland and Vancouver areas out of Woodland, Washington.
"We had a great turnout of friends and family. The Mtn. Peak Therapy Llama and Alpacas were a hit with all who attended," said Silver Creek Marketing Director Katherine Lancaster. "We enjoyed Elvis impersonator Mark Stevenz and local ukulele band The Uke De Dos from Senior Estates."
Other features were the food vendors, including the cooling-off treats of shaved ice served by Gimme Some Sugar. See event photos on the Woodburn Independent Facebook Page.
"So many members of the Woodburn community came by to see us," Lancaster said.
