Knight places first in driving, Lettenmaier and Ledesma take multiple top-10 finishes

KIM KNIGHT - The 2018 North Marion equestrian team (from left): Peyton Knight, Victoria Ledesma and Rebecca Lettenmaier.
The North Marion equestrian team took home first place in the program's season-opening competition at the Linn County Expo Center in January.

With just three participants on the team this year, the Huskies moved down to the small team division this season, where they competed against Amity and Yamhill-Carlton at the North Valley District's first meet of the season.

Led by a first-place finish in driving by Peyton Knight, along with multiple top-10 placements from Rebecca Lettenmaier and Victoria Ledesma, the Huskies scored 174 points to beat out second-place Amity, which scored 155.

North Marion will compete twice more this season before the state championships, with their next meet scheduled for March 1-4 at the Oregon State Fairgrounds in Salem.
