North Marion's storied baseball program has added more All-State award winners to its history. North Marion head baseball coach Randy Brack had high praise for the youngest of his All-State honorees, DeAngelis, including the good energy he brings to the team.

"He's got a great attitude," Brack said. "He doesn't get down on himself. When things don't go good, he's a real positive kid, a real team type of guy."

But it wasn't just the energy DeAngelis brought that earned him All-State honors and the Tri-Valley Conference Player of the Year. The left-handed hitter had Brack comparing him to Kory Casto, a North Marion alum who made it to the majors.

North Marion finished 13-4 overall, and 10-1 in Tri-Valley Conference play. The team earned third place in the 4A state championship with a 13-6 win over Banks.
