The team's winning streak has reached nine, all sweeps, to solidify first place atop the Casco League

Things are very good for the St. Paul volleyball team. They sit atop the Casco League with a 9-0 league record, and all nine of those wins coming in three-set sweeps. Their 19 total wins is the most by any volleyball program in the state from 1A to 6A.

Most recently the team picked up four wins inside a week. First, they traveled to Jewell on Monday, Sept. 27 and picked up the sweep 3-0 (25-13, 25-12, 25-22). It was a big game for sophomore Gracie Koch who notched 27 assists on the night, as well as junior Anabelle Davidson who recorded seven kills, five blocks, and nine aces. Sophomore Stella Koch had 11 kills, junior Halsie Hempfling had five kills, and sophomore Meredith Coleman had four kills.

The following day against C.S. Lewis Academy (1-13) the team won with authority, taking a 3-0 victory (25-7, 25-8, 25-6). It was another big assist night for Gracie Koch, who had 26 assists to go along with 11 aces. Stella Koch had 13 kills, Hempfling had five, and Coleman had three.

In the third straight day of action for the Lady Bucks, the team traveled to Perrydale High School on Wednesday, Sept. 29 for a doubleheader. In the first match of the day, St. Paul rematched Jewell and once again got the three-set sweep, this time 25-8, 25-15, and 25-13. Then against host school Perrydale, St. Paul won 3-0 (25-18, 25-10, 25-19).

St. Paul (19-4) will stay on the road for its next match, facing off against Livingstone Adventist Academy (2-6) on Monday, Oct. 4.
