The St. Paul sophomore was the lone Buck to claim gold, but not the only one to make the podium

St. Paul sophomore Gracie Koch became the 1A state champion in the 100-meter hurdles with a time of 17.37 seconds. The time was 0.25 seconds faster than her preliminary race, but not quite her personal best of 17.25 seconds which she set at the Special District 1 Championships.

Koch and sister Stella Koch, junior Halsie Hempfling and sophomore Meredith Coleman also competed in the 4x100-meter relay and took third place with a time of 53.86 seconds. The Koch sisters, Hempfling and junior Frankie Lear also competed in the 4x400-meter relay and took fourth with a time of 4:35.93.

Stella Koch took third place in the triple jump with a distance of 32 feet, 1.75 inches.

St. Paul junior Gage Cook reached the finals of the 100-meters and 200-meters, placing seventh and eighth respectively.

The St. Paul boys 4x100-meter relay team consisting of Cook, junior Mason Cacka and sophomores Ralph Pohlschneider and Aidan Britten took fourth place with a time of 46.28 seconds. Cacka, Cook, Pohlschneider and junior Jackson Cook also competed in the 4x400-meter relay and took third place with a time of 3:37.09.
