Led by Jenson sisters, Molalla finished 11th overall with a team total of 217 points, Country Christian takes seventh

Molalla's girls team finished 11th overall with a team total of 217 points and a team average time of 22:44. Anika Jenson led the team with a top 10 finish, snagging sixth with a time of 20:01.7. Twin sister Annalyse Jenson finished 14th overall with a time of 20:37.1.

"My game plan was to try and take first because I know my PR is good enough for that, but I didn't execute it well this time," Anika said. "I'm very happy — I'm hard on myself all the time because I want to be first, but I'm happy."

It was a while before the next Molalla harrier crossed the finish line, when Kenna Wood took 63rd with a time of 23:12.6. The rest of the team in order of finish: Madison Clark (81st, 24:27.5), Violet Bickford (91st, 25:21.1), Sophia Olson (93rd, 25:32.6), and Katya Coleman (101st, 27:40.9).

Country Christian boys made it into the 2A/1A state championship meet at Lane Community College on Nov. 5 and managed to take seventh place out of 10 teams with a team score of 199. Led by Josh Davis, who placed 36th overall with a time of 18:44.0. After Davis, in order of their finish, were Timothy Ewing (55th, 19:45.1), Lonnie Hester (56th, 19:50.2), Elijah Wallbaum (57th, 19:52.0), Hayden Hernandez (60th, 19:57.2), and Jesse Turner (72nd, 21:31.8).
