The 28-6 Bucks not only made their mark in Redmond, but accumulated league honors after perfect Casco season

It was a dominant run to the state tournament for the St. Paul volleyball team, who ultimately took third place with a 3-1 win over Rogue Valley Adventist Academy. The Bucks went 28-6 over the course of the season, including a 12-0 sweep of the Casco League opponents in league play.

PMG FILE PHOTO: TANNER RUSS - St. Paul junior Stella Koch was named the Casco Leagues Player of the Year, in addition to a first team all-tournament player.

The team competed against the very best of Oregon, as well as national competition at the Nike Tournament of Champions in Arizona in the waning days of September. The team accumulated 81 won sets and only gave up 20 over the course of the entire season.

The team was made up of several all-league caliber players. Most notably among the squad was the consensus Casco League Player of the Year, Stella Koch, who was an integral part of the team's offense as an outside hitter. Koch was also named First Team all-tournament for the three state tournament games played at Ridgeview High School.

Stella was not the only St. Paul player to earn first team honors; twin sister Gracie also made the first team list, as did graduating seniors Halsie Hempfling and Anabelle Davidson, and junior Meredith Coleman.
