The free dental day, a yearly tradition, is part of the Gift of Smiles Program and includes the Woodburn office

Smiles Dental will be providing free care in its Willamette Valley offices in February, including its Woodburn officei.

The Gift of Smiles program is a free dental day held in February at Pacific Northwest dental offices.

Appointments must be made the day prior to receive services on the scheduled free dental day.

Since its inception, Smiles Dental has donated over $710,000 in free dental services to communities in Oregon and Washington.

Residents of the area are able to call the Woodburn office on Feb. 16 to schedule a one-hour appointment for either a cleaning or restorative dental work on Feb. 17, the following day. Restorative work includes fillings, extractions, or anything that can be done in one hour that does not require additional labs.

"Our annual Gift of Smiles effort is a wonderful day of service in which we experience the immediate reward of taking care of those in pain, or who otherwise do not have access to regular dental care," explained Lauren Seeger, marketing manager for Smiles Dental, in a press release. "Our teams are committed to giving back to the communities we serve; Gift of Smiles is one way to help take care of those in need."

To schedule an appointment, call 503-981-1841 on Feb. 16 starting at 8 a.m.

Due to the popularity of this event, Smiles can only see patients who are scheduled in advance.

"This is the third Gift of Smiles I have been a part of," continued Seeger. "It is a powerful, emotional day for all those who participate. There's nothing better than that warm feeling in your heart while giving back and doing the right thing. Each year, our teams look forward to serving our community through Gift of Smiles!"
