French Prairie Gardens hosts Berries, Brews & BBQs
Who is ready for some fun on the farm?
Visit French Prairie Gardens in St. Paul for the final weekend of its ninth annual Berries, Brews & BBQ's.
June 16 and 17 will feature everything dad loves, from u-pick strawberries to a wide selection of brew to live music and lots of barbecue.
Gates are open from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. Saturday and 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Sunday.
Enjoy live entertainment from Westicana Collective (10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Saturday), Lisa James Trio (10 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. Sunday) and Lance Kinnard from 2:30 to 6 p.m. Sunday). Additionally there will be a selection of brews and ciders from some of the area's most popular breweries and cider houses for $15 (includes mug, five tastings and admission to festival). Visitors will also get to taste some incredible barbecue cooked over an open pit by farm cooks.
A portion of all the proceeds will benefit Em's Fight Foundation.
In addition to the berry picking, live music, brew tasting and barbecue eating, the event includes tractor wagon rides and pig barrel train rides, tube slide, giant slide and tire pile, farm ninja course and obstacle racing course and animal barns and farm animals.
For strawberry pickers, the farm provides the bucket, which costs $12 (for each full bucket).
Cost is $8 per person and children 12 and under must be accompanied by a paid adult. Admission is required for entry into the festival area.
French Prairie Gardens is located at 17673 French Prairie Road, St. Paul.
