Northwest Hub offers free repairs for those with no income, discount for those with EBT card

Volunteers without income are eligible for a new program to receive a transport package that includes a bicycle, padlock and lights.The Northwest Hub — Salem-based not-for-profit full service bicycle shop — will be providing bicycle repairs at the AWARE Food Bank in downtown Woodburn on Wednesday from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m.

Community members with no income will receive free repair and maintenance for their bicycles, and those with an EBT card will receive a 30 percent discount on repairs.

The Northwest Hub will also recycle broken bicycles for those that cannot be fixed.

Volunteers are welcome to help fix bicycles, and those without income who need a bicycle are eligible for a new program, in which they receive a transport package that includes a bicycle, padlock and lights.
