The Labor Day Weekend is traditionally a big one for car shows and this year is no exception.

Two of the largest ones are the annual All British Field Meet and Columbia River Classic at Portland International Raceway and the annual Show & Shine Columbia Gorge Interpretive Center in Stevenson, Washington. But there are smaller ones, too, and they continue for the rest of the summer.

Here is a partial list:

Annual All British Field Meet and Columbia River Classic Saturday, Aug. 30 - Sunday, Aug. 31, 9 a.m. both days, Portland International Raceway, 1940 N. Victory Blvd., Portland. Three events over one weekend. On Saturday and Sunday, the Society of Vintage Racing Enthusiasts will stage their annual Columbia River Classic races on the PIR track. On Saturday, hundreds of British cars, both old and new, will be on display in the south parking area. And the All-British Swap Meet will take there on Sunday. For more information, visit:

Annual Show & Shine Saturday, Aug. 30, noon, Columbia Gorge Interpretive Center, 990 S.W. Rock Creek Dr., Stevenson, Wash. Awards in 22 categories including People's Choice, raffle, food, swap meet.

6th Annual Pete's Cruise-In Oregon City Saturday, Aug. 30, 10:00 a.m., Clackamette Park, Oregon City. Dash plaques for the first 150 entries, vendors, auction, free raffle tickets for two cans of food for H.O.P.E, proceeds support the Oregon City High School Band and Flag Team.

3rd Annual Barlow Mat Club Cruisin for the Kids Saturday, Aug. 30, 9 a.m., Multnomah Greyhound Park, 944 NE 223rd., Wood Village. Awards, food, raffle, proceeds benefit the Barlow Mat Club Wrestling Scholarship Fund.

ET Drags and Beaches Cruise-in Wednesday, Sept. 3, 4 p.m., Portland International Raceway, 1940 N. Victory Blvd., Portland. ET drag racing on the 1/8th mile track plus 1,000 hot rods, show cars and classics on the grass. $8 admission. Every Wednesday through Sept. 24.

Burgerville Friday Night Cruise-In Friday, Sept. 5, 5 p.m., Burgerville, Southeast 92nd and Powell, Portland. Family-friendly cruise-in, live DJ, all makes and models welcome, continues every other Friday night until Sept. 19.

22nd Annual Collector Car Drive In Movie Night Saturday, Sept. 6, 6 p.m., 99W Drive In Theater, 99W and Springbrook Road, Newberg. All cars invited to 1950s era snack bar, vintage movie trailers and advertisements, cartoon and movie. Sponsored by the Edsel Owners Club. $8.00 for adults, and $5.00 for kids under 12.

Sandy Oktoberfest Cruisin' Car Show Saturday, Sept. 6, 10 a.m., St. Michaels Church, 18090 S.E. Langensand Rd., Sandy. Awards, music, raffle.
