Motorcycles, sports cars and campers will be on display outside the Portland Art Museum on upcoming Sundays.

COURTESY PORTLAND ART MUSEUM - Airstream campers will be on dispaly on Sunday, Aug. 5.The Portland Art Museum is hosting three free Sunday park events in support of its "Shape of Speed: Streamlined Automobiles and Motorcycles, 1930-1942" exhibit featuring streamlined cars and motorcycles, which is running through Sept. 16.

The "Streamlined Sundays" events, which will be held in the South Park Blocks outside the front of the museum at 1219 S.W. Park Ave., will include motorcycles, cars and campers, as follows:

Motorcycles in the Park

Sunday, June 24, 11 a.m.-3 p.m. Private motorcycle owners are invited to register and park their bikes in the park blocks for a day of family fun. The museum exhibit includes three rare streamlined motorcycles, a one-of-a-kind 1934 BMW R7 concept motorcycle and a radically streamlined 1930 Henderson KJ Streamline motorcycle.

Cars in the Park

Sunday, July 8, 1:00–5:00 pm. Forty classic sports cars from 1967 and earlier are expected, ranging from 1930's Alfa Romeos to competition Ferraris from the 1960s. The gathering is the kickoff for Keith Martin's Sports Car Market 30th Anniversary Tour, organized by the Portland-based collector car expert and publisher. The museum exhibit feature 17 historic streamlined cars.

Oregon Travel Trailers & Trucks

Sunday, Aug. 5, 10 a.m.–5:00 p.m. New and vintage travel trailers will be on display courtesy of the Oregon Airstream Club, along with a very special restored vintage Freightliner truck. Both Airstream and Freighliner were started by Oregonians.
