GMC unveils refreshed Acadia mid-size SUV for 2020
GMC has unveiled a revised look for the 2020 Acadia mid-size SUV. The new model features a new exterior look with LED lighting, and an upgraded interior. The move is part of GMC's efforts to reinforce its brand as GM's upscale truck and SUV manufacturer.
The top SLT and Denali trims of the Acadia will be powered by a 2.0-liter turbocharged engine capable of producing 230 horsepower and 258 pound-feet of torque. The new engine features cylinder deactivation for fuel economy savings and a twin-scroll turbocharger to enhance performance. The existing 2.5-liter and 3.6-liter engines will be carried over as standard or optional equipment. All available engines are paired with a 9-speed automatic transmission. Acadia is available with the buyer's choice of front-wheel or all-wheel-drive.
The 2020 Acadia is configurable for five, six, or seven passengers, and the interior has been redesigned to accommodate a new 8-inch infotainment system. The new system allows each driver to set a personal profile and offers more convenient access to the navigation system. Dual USB-C ports and a wireless charging station are available for the latest mobile devices.
The 2020 Acadia is set to arrive at dealerships this fall. Pricing will be announced closer to the on-sale date.
