As part of this year's Share the Love fundraising drive, Gresham Subaru is donating $23,000 to the 4th Dimension Recovery Center, a local nonprofit helping young adults overcome addiction with free recovery support services.

Subaru dealers donate a portion of their sales and leases to charities chosen by their managers and customers during the annual national events. Over the past four years, Gresham Subaru has donated about $180,000 to the organization, which serves about 600 people per month with mentoring services, social activities and recovery housing.

According to 4th Dimension's Executive Director Tony Vezina, "Subaru's support and commitment to our community could not come at a better time. Each day we lose about 5 people to alcohol and drug deaths and the cost to tax payers is massive, addiction costs us about billions each year in health care costs, crime, homelessness, loss economic productivity, etc. 4D provides a safe, sober environment where over 600 young people receive recovery support services, including recovery mentoring, social support and recovery housing."

The most recent donation was presented during a ceremony on Thursday, April 25.
