The opening of the newest cluster of charging stations is part of PGE's continuing effort to help the transition to electric vehicles in Oregon

COURTESY PGE - Charging stations at the Electric Avenue near PGE's headquarters in downtown Portland.Portland General Electric and the City of Portland will celebrate the grand opening of the newest charging station for electric vehicles at Eastport Plaza on Saturday, Oct. 26.

The newest Electric Avenue is located at 4000 S.E. 82nd Ave.The grand opening will be held between 10 a.m. and 2 p.m. It will include free test drives of several current EV models hosted by Forth, and a chance to win a weekend getaway in an EV to Cannon Beach.

In its continuing effort to help the transition to electric vehicles in Oregon, PGE is expanding its Electric Avenues, which are clusters of EV charging stations in local communities. PGE has five Electric Avenue locations currently operating or under construction and two more slated for completion in 2020. The new Eastport Plaza location joins operating avenues in Milwaukie, Hillsboro, Wilsonville, and downtown Portland, and each offers four DC fast chargers and two Level 2 chargers.
