Grand Prix of Portland delayed one week
The Grand Prix of Portland has been delayed one week to Friday to Sunday, Sept. 11 to 13.
The annual IndyCar race was originally set at Portland International Raceway for Sept. 4 to 6. The shift is in support of the NTT IndyCar Series' efforts to run as many of its points championship races as possible in 2020.
Previously purchased tickets to the Grand Prix of Portland will be valid and honored on the rescheduled dates
Changing the PIR schedule also opens up the summer calendar further for the Indianapolis 500 to run on Aug. 23.
This rescheduled date is subject to the ongoing guidance and mandates of national, state and local authorities regarding public gatherings. The State of Oregon is currently banning gatherings of any size to reduce the spread of COVID-19. The health and safety of all associated with this event will remain the priority of the Grand Prix of Portland and PIR.
PIR is located at 1940 N Victory Blvd., Portland. For its complete schedule and other information, go to portlandraceway.com.
