Buick has started sales of the all-new 2021 Envision compact crossover SUV. The Envision is offered at a base price of $32,995, including destination fees.

The revised five-passenger crossover is part of Buick's all-SUV product strategy, designed to focus on affordable premium content. The new Envision is lower and wider than the outgoing model. For the first time, the new Envision offers Buick customers two new trim options: Sport Touring and Avenir.

Newly standard driver assistance technology

The new Envision offers nine advanced safety and driver assistance technologies as standard equipment. Standard features now include Forward Collision Alert, Automatic Emergency Braking, Front Pedestrian Braking, Rear Park Assist, Lane Keep Assist with Lane Departure Warning, Lane Change Alert with Side Blind Zone Alert, Following Distance Indicator, automatic high beams, and Rear Cross Traffic Alert.

Envision also includes an optional 10.2-inch-diagonal color touchscreen with available Amazon Alexa integration, along with wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay support.

Envision is powered by a 2.0-liter turbocharged engine rated at 228 horsepower and 258 lb-ft of torque, paired with a nine-speed automatic transmission with electronic shift control. All-wheel-drive is available with electronically controlled twin-clutch operation, and there is an optional Continuous Damping Control active suspension.

Three trim options

The new Envision is available in three main trims — Preferred, Essence and Avenir. Each incorporate specific design features. The Preferred and Essence trims have an available Sport Touring package that embodies a more agile appearance with darkened exterior touches and 20-inch wheels with a darkened finish.

For practical needs, the 2021 Envision offers 52.7 cubic feet of cargo space behind the first-row seats and 25.2 cubic feet behind the second-row seats. A heated steering wheel is standard on Essence and Avenir trims, and available on Preferred trim Envisions. Buick's QuietTuning cabin silencing is standard on all trims— including active noise cancellation and strategically placed acoustic materials.

Envision Avenir

The Avenir is Buick's ultimate expression of refinement, and this expansive luxury trim is now being offered on the Envision for the first time. The Envision Avenir is distinguished by an exclusive mesh grille design, with tinted chrome trim and unique 20-inch wheels with a Pearl Nickel finish.

Avenir standard features include, heated and ventilated front seats, diamond-perforated quilted leather-appointed seats, driver's seat massage feature, heated rear outboard seats, GPS navigation, and wireless device charging.
