Health and wellness education

In 2017, the Oregon Department of Education introduced new, comprehensive health and wellness standards and performance indicators for kindergarten through 12th grade.

A group of West Linn-Wilsonville teachers, counselors and administrators have been meeting this school year to learn about the standards and explore curricular resources.

A few parents from each school are invited to be part of a focus group to look at the standards with the district and contribute to the thinking and planning.

The district community meeting was held Wednesday, Jan. 31 at 6:30 p.m. at the WL-WV District Office, 22210 S.W. Stafford Road, Tualatin.

There will be additional community meetings on March 8 and May 14.
