West Linn football moves to seventh in latest football poll
The West Linn football team, it turns out, is again among the state's best teams.
In the latest Class 6A statewide coaches poll shared on the Oregon School Activities Association website on Tuesday, West Linn is seventh in the ranking of the state's top 10 teams.
The Lions are 4-1 overall and are coming off a 26-20 overtime home win over Sherwood on Friday night. This week, West Linn travels to face No. 2 Lake Oswego (4-1 overall) at 7 p.m. Friday.
Clackamas (5-0 overall), the reigning Class 6A state champion, is currently the top-ranked team in the state, followed in the top five by Lake Oswego, Sheldon (4-1), Jesuit (4-1) and Tigard (5-0).
