When the annual time change rolls around and West Linn is suddenly plunged into darkness around 5 p.m. every day, it can be cause for despair. But that particular bump on the road to winter also signals the coming of beloved local holiday events - including one that will quite literally light up your day. Nov. 18 marked the opening of the 14th annual Lighting of Maddax Woods, which can now be seen from 4 to 9 p.m. every day until Dec. 31.
