Republican from West Linn hoping for fifth term representing House District 37

FILE PHOTO - Oregon House Rep. Julie Parrish, R-West LinnOregon House Rep. Julie Parrish, R-West Linn, has filed for a fifth term representing House District 37.

Parrish has served as representative of the district — which includes West Linn, Tualatin, River Grove, Durham, Stafford, Lake Oswego and King City — since 2010.

"I appreciate my family and community encouraging me to continue to serve Oregon in the capacity of our State Representative," Parrish said in a press release. "The faith people in District 37 continue to put in me to stand up for fiscal accountability, while ensuring local issues for residents are addressed, is overwhelming. I'm grateful for their continued support."

Parrish will face at least one challenger for the seat; last November, fellow West Linn resident Rachel Prusak filed as a Democrat for the 2018 primary election. Parrish and Prusak were the only candidates to file for the District 37 seat, and are thus assured to face off in a November general election.
